Help on Places and Genealogy.... Bolton's yard

Hi.
Appreciate knowledge/thoughts on a birth certificate actual location.

The certificate indicates a born location in 1851 as Bolton's yard, Hardybutts. This is stated twice and is definitely Hardybutts.

However checking on wiganworld. Bolton's yard appears to be in Hallgate.

My questions are...
a) Would Hallgate be classed as Hardybutts and the location here is correct or
b) Was there another Bolton's yard to the east of the town focused on Hardybutts Street/Area.

Hi, Hardybutts is nowhere near Hallgate. There is a WW thread that shows a Bolton Street yard photo that's claimed to be on Bolton Street. BoltonYard Former bolton street can be seen here BoltonStreet . However Bolton street wasn't that close to Hardybutts according to this 1900 map but it might have been considered close in 1841 Hardybutts . At 52 Hallgate in 1900 there was a Bailey's yard and no mention of Bolton yard ? BaileysYard

I just found Boltons Yard in 1881 census next to the Bailey's yard at hallgate. There's only one house listed (or left?) by 1881 No.7 , occupant John Gaskell head, a 33 year old iron moulder + family and lodgers.

According to WW, Stuff , Bolton’s Yard was located at 51 Hallgate.
